Ryan’s 30th Birthday, Cullompton

Last weekend, we threw an epic 30th birthday party for our mate Ryan at The Bell in Cullompton, Devon, and what a night it was! With a solid crew, a thumping new soundsystem, and a playlist that went from feel-good house to full-on 90s rave, the night turned into something really special.

Bench Testing the Beast – The EV ELX Active System

This party wasn't just about the birthday vibes – it was also the perfect opportunity to bench test our brand new EV ELX active sound system. Let's just say… it did not disappoint. Crystal-clear highs, punchy mids, and bass that hit you right in the chest – we're seriously impressed. The ELX passed with flying colours and is now officially ready for the CrashThe90s Summer Boat Cruise All Dayer. Bring it on!

The Soundtrack – From 80s Chic to 90s Peak

We kicked things off with a solid helping of house music to get the crowd warmed up. Nothing too heavy – think upbeat grooves and disco-tinged beats to get people dancing and drinks flowing.

As the evening rolled on, we started weaving in a load of 80s covers, reimagined through a house and nu-disco lens – a proper crowd-pleaser! From synth-pop classics to retro funk remixes, the dancefloor stayed packed all night.

But the real magic? That came towards the end of the night, when we cranked it up and went full old skool trance. We're talking proper Kevin & Perry style – hands-in-the-air anthems, big euphoric builds, and nostalgic throwbacks to the 90s rave scene. Everyone was absolutely buzzing – and not a glow stick in sight (well, maybe one or two…).

A Night to Remember

Massive thanks to everyone who came down, and of course to The Bell for hosting us. Great crowd, great venue, and a truly unforgettable way to celebrate Ryan hitting the big 3-0.
